Problem with parents

(i) Indebtedness / Payback:

Parents heavily invest in their children for higher studies / wedding. They invest their life time saving for child’s higher education / college degree. If it is a girl child, they will spend entire life savings for the daughter’s marriage. So they are penniless upon retirement. Some parents save wisely for both retirement and educations. But most of them spend all their money. Then they will be dependent on their kids. When the kids in turn become parents, they have to spend on their own kids (grand-kids) education. So they will not be able to look after their parents. This causes friction between son/daughter-in-law and parents. Money is root cause of most marriage failures.

(ii) Leader mentality:

Some parents want to control their kids irrespective of their age. They want to control every day action of their kids and want them to listen to them irrespective of their age 10, 20, 30 or 40. Also these kids are tuned to their parents from young age. When a partner (husband/wife) enters their life, they still listen to their parents. This causes friction between husband and wife. When a third person (parents) enters their personal life, it becomes a mess. This is mainly because of controlling behavior of parents.
