Who can be close to god?

gnorance is the root of all fear. Fear comes when there is uncertainty and doubt. Therefore I we have to find the light of truth amidst the darkness of ignorance. For an example, while watching a cricket match, if you firmly believe in the victory of your favorite team then you may not bother about the result of the match even when they lose 5 wickets in 2 overs, because you have already believed, our life is very similar, full of puzzles and answers, but few are complicating it and becoming fearful. The science of Astrology serves them as a steady beam of light in illuminating them and showing them the right path. Astrology reveals us our true identity and helps and energizes us to pursue along our chosen path. It clears the mind of all doubts, uncertainties and fears. It strengthens us to face the hard realities in life. Life is worth living only if it is complete, devoid of fear and ignorance. Sage Avvai states that the most privileged life on this planet Earth is the life of a Human Being, and what should be the quality of an Astrologer who is handling the science of Astrology which is the guiding light of human lives? ASTROLOGER, JUST A LEARNED MAN ? We cannot limit him by naming him just an Astrologer. The Shasthras name him as “Deivakkaya” the one who is close to the God. One cannot become an Astrologer by merely having mastery over the Shastras.

The knowledge of Shastras hardly take him closer to God. Nor the mastery alone will equip him to guide a seeker. Therefore what is the quality of an Astrologer who could entertain closeness with God ? An Astrologer howsoever knowledgeable he may have, will practically find it harder to ascertain the planetary positions that are changing in immeasurable scale of time unit. An Astrologer, says the shasthras, must have learned the 18 Horas. But it takes 500 years to learn even one Hora!, therefore it is practically impossible to learn all the 18 Horas. Then what is the reason for the existence of that 18 Horas ? The mastery in an Art, any art for that matter is achieved by becoming one with the art and dissolving in it. REALISING THE CHANGING TIMES The universe in its totality has to be clearly understood and studied by an Astrologer. He has to guide and reveal the gist of Astrology in accordance with changing times and situations. In a Horoscope there are some planetary positions and places indicating the possession of vehicle. When an Astrologer finds this particular “yogam” absent, is it appropriate to declare that as a revelation, true and factual. !, in all probability it is not..!, because a vehicle 50 years before is a luxury, but now is necessary for every household , there are even two or more vehicles in every household nowadays. Therefore just quoting Shastras is not Astrology. A deep, intelligent and overall analysis is required to guide people in the right way. For example, you take part in a sprinting competition, Astrology cannot give the prediction about your victory so blindly, the horoscope and strength and time of rest of the other participants also must be taken into consideration and analyzed. An Astrologer needs a holistic approach in attempting to ascertain certain events. THE GRACE OF GOD An Astrologer is bound to answer various types of questions, he must see to that the answer he gives is not only in accordance with shastras but his words must bear the weight of a “divine decree”, and he must be a man on whom God's Grace has descended upon.
