Nimitham
Nimitham is identified with our present because it encourages us to locate the future happenings and...
“Imagine a whirlwind moving in great speed, and
while it travels, it gathers all the bits and pieces of dust from the
ground along with it, after a brief period when the speed is
reduced all the particles it gathered will be dropped to become
dust again and the whirlwind disappears, here the “soul” is like
the whirlwind gathering the physical elements called “body” and
moving in its destined direction and dropping it when the
purpose is over” – Swami Vivekananda.
Lord Krishna in Bagavad Gita says that “Just like men
wear fresh clothing removing the old cloths, the soul drops the
old physical body and takes the new one “
A huge banyan tree comes out of a tiny seed and it stays
for a period of time and disappears giving all its life energy to the
seeds again. The life process has a similarity, the soul takes the
body to accomplish certain purpose and once it is done or left
unfulfilled it leaves the body for another. The brief period
between these two happenings is the instrument called “time”
and karma works through this time. If the destined purpose is
not fulfilled soul will take another body and work through it,
unless the purpose is fulfilled this cycle of birth and death goes on
and on.
Hundreds of pots and utensils can be made out of clay. The clay is same but it finds itself in hundreds of objects and out of which they are made. The soul is one and it can take numerous physical body for its operation on Earth plane. “Karma” gets hold of the physical body, and operates it through the instrument of mind, depending on the nature of karma, the effects can be good or bad. The mind and body works in a good or evil way depending on the strength or weakness of the soul. It can t a k e u s t o l i f e f u l f i l l m e n t , enlightenment or even to destruction depending on the nature of karma. Mind is the sum total of all the psychic and emotional impressions acquired through the senses, therefore the karma operates through mind, thereby extinguishing the imprints gathered through the senses by the very same senses. Emotions like love, Grace, Joy, contentment, appreciation, praise, will help us to understand the soul and lead us to the path of spiritual enlightenment. Whereas emotions like anger, jealousy, greed, hatred, feeling inferior, etc will lead us to selfdestructive attitudes. The Shastras say that the body cannot work without soul and viceversa. The human being as Dr Bruce Lipton says is not just a single organism, it is a complex community of body, soul, karma, senses and mind put together. When we apply the science of Astrology for the sake of applying it the result will be quite the same. We can see all the fruits, leaves, flowers and branches in the tree but the root is hidden inside underneath. Just like the root which is important to the tree the root cause of the problem is important in understanding the present situation of life. Shastras tell us the secret of understanding the root cause of any problem.
