Nature of oozh

A soul is prone to doing sin in six different categories viz. desire, anger, greed, delusion, pride, and envy. When a soul is free from all six of these, it attains aathma jeyam.Oozh’s work is to punish a soul through the same category in which it faltered. For instance, if a woman is envious of another woman’s progress and interferes in such a way that the other woman’s progress is deterred, she (the envious one) will also face a situation where someone else deters her own progress. Through this, oozh makes sure to make the soul realize its fault. It can intensify or lessen the exercises to the soul for this purpose. Once the exercises are over, it gives a final exam. If the exam is passed, the soul is elevated to a state where it is possible to surrender completely; if not, things go back to the exercise phase. Almost every event in the present is linked to another in the past and because of this, oozh has become an enigma. We are perplexed when we do not know the reasons for certain events happening and sink into depression and daydreaming. This is attributed to our poor understanding of oozh.
