Let us understand about yogam
The meaning of yogam is serkkai (combination) that is an artificial combination of Graham or Grahas ...
ven miracles are possible with suitable and conducive time and space. We
always like to E restrict a child in a harmless space that is devoid of any possibility of danger, and on the other hand we want him to pursue his
heart's desire. If a child wants to run and move around it is better to allow him then
to restrict him in it a comfortable place. Allowing him to explore the zones that are
outside his comfort will strengthen the qualities in him. A supportive family
environment is also required for any child to grow higher in his chosen field.
Therefore, everything in this Universe is inter-related and inter-connected.
Things have to fall in the right place for an individual to become complete
and equipped with all the necessities that are required.
Therefore, the responsibility of finding out and bringing out the talent of a
child lies with the parents. Mere material pursuit is not the purpose of education, if
it is, then nothing more than scoring high marks will be required. We can't even get
glimpses of higher possibilities if we entertain such views, even when we get it
accidently we would never mind to give a thought to it.
Imagine somehow a child met with a chance of proving his abilities in a
chosen field, and the question here will be how long are we prepared to pursue it..?
The irony in most cases is that the child's classroom becomes a prison wall for him, the society and his parents fail to take him out this wall of restriction. But the chances of successes are there only when this wall is broken through. The mind of a child will grasp various aspects of multi-tasking, time management, prioritizing, etc. through outside classroom activity. Especially the prioritizing will develop when he discovers his true potential in a chosen field, for example if he finds the game of football as his potential then he will start prioritizing the playground more and the classroom less. This will be the exact reverse in case of a child taking the game just as a recreation. When everything is said, it is true that parents are not consciously erecting a wall of restriction against the desires of the child. Nobody wishes to stop a child from becoming a cricketer if they have the eyes to see through his cricketing ability, but it is the lack of it that makes them to stand in the way of their children. How to overcome it..? The answer cannot be a “one liner”. There are numerous factors and important of all is the time spent by the parents with their children, the space they share, how clearly their ideas and mind sets get exchanged, everything depends on it. To state an example, a child finds an unused musical instrument in the upper section of his house which is beyond his reach, and there are every chances of him getting hurt if he tries to bring it down, on the flipside, there are also possibilities of that child becoming a great musician by getting it through that accident.
